QTEC Aerospace is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Cyber Architects and Computer Systems Analysts.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities related to Risk Management Framework (RMF) such as development of policies, processes and procedures, proper security configuration of the development and laboratory infrastructure, and testing and reporting results, in order to obtain and maintain the Authority to Operate from DCSA and the Authority to Connect from MDA
  • Assist with vulnerability scanning to ensure laboratory and development environment systems are compliant with RMF controls
  • Support and provide documentation to the Information Systems Security Manager including SSP updates, POA&M updates, and security posture documentation

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or related field and 2 years of related experience;

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • DoDD 8570 Certification at IAM/IAT Level 2 or higher (Security +, CISSP, etc)
  • Prior work experience in a secure IT or Engineering environment
  • Prior work experience with Risk Management Framework controls
  • Experience with Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Possible travel to fielded locations in Fort Greely, Alaska, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Vandenburg, California, and other locations; travel would be in support of Cyber test events or Security visits to update or train local maintainers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
  • Self-motivated and customer-oriented

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Unix, Linux, and/or Windows systems administration experience
  • Missile Defense experience is a plus

Security Clearance

  • Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance.
